WORRY NOT!!!

I’m not exactly sure as to why I was led to write this, but after abandoning the pen for a long time now, I have a strong feeling this write-up is for someone (YOU)…

Times are hard and most of us have one or more stories to tell but you need to know that these hard times are only for a while. The book of Matthew says, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself (another translation says “tomorrow will sort itself out)…” You might be thinking, “Why shouldn't I  think about tomorrow?” “I’m stuck on love (will I ever meet someone who loves me for me, get married and have children?)” “Why can’t I get a great-paying Job (even after all my certificates and effort)” “Why do I lose the ones that mean the most to me (death or not), even after I try my hardest to keep them”… I can’t answer these questions for you but I need you to know that you don’t have to worry about a thing! Every failure happens for a reason and is usually a stepping stone to one’s success (one of my favorite all-time quotes).

The doctors may have written you off concerning a situation, your ‘friends’ may have forsaken you, your boss only sees the wrong things you do (but never acknowledge the good ones), you might be thinking of throwing in the towel, but the bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV), “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will provide a way out so that you can endure it”. I’m not saying you shouldn't mourn your loss or be sad about not getting what you hoped you would get, but you shouldn't let it define your future or who you are because ONE thing that is sure is God doesn't consult your past/present to determine your future, a rough yesterday/today doesn't determine what tomorrow will be…

I once read of an athlete who after running for a while had an injury, the paramedic wanted to keep him on the stretcher but chose to keep running, despite his pain and tears…suddenly, a man from the crowd came to meet him on the tracks, this man was his father. When his father saw that his son wasn’t ready to give up, he decided to run alongside his son. This young man didn't win the race but he finished the race because he was determined and was motivated by someone who loves him and is ready to pick him up when he falls. If an earthly father can do this, how much more our Heavenly Father? He wants more than anything to help you and see you finish strong to the end of the race, please don’t give up, don’t quit before finishing this race.

I may not know what you are going through at the moment, but when you think your life is flooded by all the pains, sorrows, heartache and you are burdened down by so many troubles, you've got to realize that pain or no pain, trouble or no trouble, through it all… YOU STILL HAVE GOD, he has promised to never leave nor forsake you and as he has promised, he is faithful and will bring his words to fulfillment…SO YOU HAVE NO REASON TO WORRY!



Everything will be alright…Maybe not now, but eventually!

Funny title right? šŸ˜… Over the weekend, something really funny happened which gave me the inspiration to write this. Myself and my sisters were discussing how that it would be almost impossible to have an immediate sibling act as the make-up artist to a Bride, and that it is always good to outsource to a vendor. My Elder Sister went on to explain that the immediate siblings would have other important needs to attend to and that the duties of a make-up artist, included dabbing the face of the Bride at every point in time. I heard of a guy and a lady that were very good friends, super close even (I was witness to this actually) ... they had been friends since University days and everyone who saw them knew just how close and inseparable they were. One day, the lady told her friend (the guy) that she had met "the one", and as she was telling her friend about this guy she met, you'd know that she had fallen deep. The next words the guy uttered was a shock to me (the sofo šŸ˜‚), and her. He said, "What about me? I thought I was the one". A barber and a pastor were walking along the road. BARBER: pastor,do you know there is no God? PASTOR: what makes you say so?
