Impossibility really isn't a thing!

I’m sure we are all very familiar with the popular Bible verse that says, “With men it’s impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible”… To add up to that, General Overseer would say, “With God and Me, everything is possible”. (hmm hmm)
I’m sure most of us would say, “Of course, there are impossible things like running extra fast like Flash or Clark Kent (I said this first because it’s my dream Super Power),  Reading and memorizing books in seconds like Kyle (in Kyle XY), OR  jumping off a cliff without a parachute or without getting hurt… Well, if you really look at it, it’s not possible but here, I’m talking about what we human really think is impossible when in truth it’s very possible.
There comes a point in our lives when we feel like we can’t achieve some things or we just say there’s no way on earth it will work…Well, good news is You can do anything if only you try. Most of the time, we get too scared to do the things we actually love to do and instead try out the “second-love”.
There’s a huge difference between wanting to change and being willing to change. Almost everyone wants to change for the better, only very few are willing to take the necessary steps to create this change. Also, in order to accomplish the “impossible”, there are so many steps to take:
  1. Put ALL your trust in God: It’s only God that can help you accomplish what seems impossible. Habakkuk 3:19 (NIV) says “The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of the deer, he enables me to tread on the heights”… When you put all your trust on God, all things will become easy for you.
  2. Believe you can actually do it: It doesn't matter how hard it looks on the surface, you've got to believe in yourself. I remember a time my choir master told us during rehearsal to compose a song on a particular theme in 45mins (difficult right?!), we all had this look that said, “Is this man serious at all?”…but he was really serious. For about 10mins, we thought he’d get to tell us that he was only joking and we don’t have to compose within that short period, but he said we just had to compose. Within minutes, everyone started composing and alas, it was easier than we thought it would be. When we were through, he said he said he didn't ask us to compose within that short period to mock us but he wanted us to believe that we can do it and actually do it (That struck me!). OK, the short story is to show you that in order to accomplish anything, you need to believe in yourself.
  3. Surround yourself with great motivators: Be with people who encourage you at all times. The types of people you walk with determine what you can accomplish. When you think u can’t do certain things, good motivators make you see reason why you can do those things and actually help you all the way.
  4. Have a mentor: Most people confuse mentors and role models, while a role model is someone worthy of imitation, a mentor is a wise and trusted guide and advisor. A role model might not be your mentor but your mentor can also be your role model. Nobody is above receiving advise, even the richest people on earth have advisers, so in order to complete certain task, you need to have a mentor (someone you can talk to any time of the day).
  5. Stop caring about what people say: Daniel and the three Hebrews didn't care about what people said, they took only pulse for 10 days and they looked fatter and fresher than those who ate the King’s food. David didn’t care about what people say because he believed in what he possessed on the inside and he killed Goliath with a stone and sling… Why should you care about what people say? Really, life is too short to start focusing on other people’s opinion of you… whether you do something right or wrong, there will always be talks. Choose to not focus on these talks
  6. Confess positively to your life: On a daily basis, you have to say positive things to your life. Like my Pastor would say, “Your mouth is bigger than your problems”. Speak greatness; Prophesy that since God isn't a failure, you can’t fail; Release God’s favor and blessings to your day.

Remember, “You can do ALL (not little, not few, and not some) things through Christ which strengthen you”.

Cheers!
